Who does not have at least once dreamed of it? Use the huge bundles of tickets present in a monopoly game but in real life? Tempting but impossible? Well, the dream has become (temporarily) reality in a pub with the small town of Worcester, located in Massachusetts in the United States. Indeed on June 23 for a period of two hours the Ralph's Tavern admitted to its customers to pay their consumption in monopoly tickets. So, a real revolution? A com com? What lessons can learn from this ephemeral experience? And when the online casino will allow us to play in real money de monopoly?
Production of the operation
The idea took the form of a kind of happy hour (better) with the possibility offered by the Ralph's Tavern establishment to pay with monopoly tickets between 4 and 6 pm the evening of June 23. The accepted tickets from the famous board game were those 5, 10 and 20 fake dollars. It was notably possible to pay a hot dog with tickets of 10 false dollars, a shot with 20 fake dollars and the entry to the lottery specially organized for the occasion with 5 fake dollars. However, it was necessary to pay with real dollar tickets to leave with alcohol outside the establishment. As for the lottery in which it was possible to participate with monopoly tickets, there were articles of brands to be won, t-shirts, caps, kitchen utensils, etc.

Why such an idea?
Insofar as Monopoly tickets have no value as such, how and why did an advertisement manager have the idea of literally offering consumption for 2 hours? Madness? Generosity? None of this, in reality, and the own admission of the manager of the establishment, it is neither more nor less than a communication operation. It is on the advice of one of the bar employees that the idea of being able to see his establishment appearing in a future edition of the Monopoly taking place in Worcester germinated in the mind of the manager. Indeed, the publisher of the famous board game said that on the map of this future Monopoly, will appear 34 places in the city. If the Ralph's Tavern were to be selected, it is easy to imagine the enormous gain of notoriety that would result from it. It should be noted that this is not the first initiative of this kind on the part of Hasbro, two cities (Greenwich and Cambridge) had already been chosen for special editions of the game. No one still knows if the Initiative of the Ralph's Tavern advertising has borne fruit and if the establishment will be retained to be one of the 34 places in the city, but in any case, it will at least have managed to be talked about. Bet at least half successful therefore.
